Who We Are

Meagan Grega, M.D - Co-founder, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Meagan Grega is a graduate of Bucknell University with a B.S. in Biochemistry/Cell Biology. She earned her MD degree from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.

Dr. Grega spent several years as a medical officer in the United States Navy, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander before resigning from active duty service. She has been a staff Family Physician at Hunterdon Medical Center and is currently the Director of Women’s Health Services at Lafayette College in Easton, PA. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and is board certified in Family Medicine.

Children’s health in general, and the obesity epidemic in particular, are issues in which Meagan has had a long-standing interest. She believes the benefits of regular exercise, adequate sleep, supportive social connections, healthy food choices and the art of balance are the keys to improving our children’s future, as well as our own. Towards that end, she is committed to finding practical solutions that can be implemented by families to strengthen each other physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Eric J. Ruth - Co-founder, CEO

Eric J. Ruth is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kellyn Foundation (www.kellyn.org), a 501(c)(3) organization in the Lehigh Valley dedicated to child and family wellness.  The well being of children raised in today's world has had a significant influence in Eric's life. Raising three children, teaching thousands more and seeing the habits, pressures and influences on our children, has lead Eric to co-found the Kellyn Foundation.

Mr. Ruth is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.  Eric spent the initial fifteen years of his career working as an accountant and then as a corporate controller for multiple companies.  Later, Eric took his business knowledge into the fledgling Internet industry as a VP of Sales & Marketing, where he spent ten years with a strong emphasis in online relationship marketing in the healthcare arena. The combination of a strong financial and online marketing background provides Eric with unique, extensive business expertise.

Sensei Eric is known for his love of life, his caring and nurturing teaching ability and his strength of spirit. Eric has trained as a martial artist for the majority of his adult life and continues to train and teach.  He has extensive experience engaging children and families to embark on healthy lifestyle changes, both through Kellyn Foundation’s educational outreach programs and as managing director of a local martial arts dojo.  He has been actively involved in school wellness councils and classroom presentations for elementary students for several years, and has been instrumental in the development of Kellyn Foundation’s “Healthy Families Need Healthy Roots” intervention program.
