Family Intervention Program

The Kellyn Intervention Program addresses the needs of families that desire hands-on support to change their lifestyle so that both the children and the parents can live healthier and more satisfying lives. It is a fun, exciting, challenging and difficult program all in one.
The program begins with an initial consultation to evaluate the child, answer questions and set expectations for the participants and their parents. An intervention is not easy. It takes time, perseverance and dedication from all the people involved. For that reason, we will ask all those involved to sign a letter of commitment to the program that details their expectations and requirements.
An exam by a medical doctor will take place as well as a physical test to set the initial benchmarks for change.
The initial two months, called “Kellyn Camp”, are time intensive and involve a commitment to change unhealthy lifestyle habits for the whole family.
The Kellyn Camp includes:
- Weekly nutritional and lifestyle seminars for the initial period
- Goal setting and ongoing re-evaluation of progress
- Structured exercise program
- Weekly weigh-ins
- Daily online reporting with monitoring and feedback
- Four and eight week medical follow-up
- Baseline, four and eight week physical test
The concept of the “Kellyn Camp” is to immerse the families into a healthy lifestyle, understanding intellectually and accomplishing behaviorally what needs to be done to effect the positive change required.
If a family successfully completes the “Kellyn Camp”, they are graduated into the Kellyn maintenance program, which offers support services for the next two months. Families may remain in the Kellyn maintenance program for as long as desired to maintain the positive changes they have made, as well as to continue improving their lifestyle choices and receive on-going monitoring from a medical professional.
Our goal for each program is to provide the tools, experience and positive change for a family, so that they are confident of their ability to continue their new healthy habits for a lifetime.
Kellyn Foundation utilizes current clinical research along with hands-on observational information to serve our participants. Health is measured in many ways: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. The majority of our participants have an unhealthy weight, which in many cases leads to a level of unhappiness, lack of confidence, social retreat and eventually to a spiraling effect causing a person and/or their family to resign themselves to the assumption that positive change will not occur.
The objective of the Kellyn Intervention program is to establish a healthy lifestyle path for a person and give the person enough tools and confidence to stay the course long after they have left the program. We encourage our “former” participants to comeback and help others to attain their goals. Transforming from a student to a mentor to a teacher is phenomenally rewarding. It not only helps the mentor stay focused, but develops leadership in the overall social movement to restore health to ourselves and our world.
